CONCEPT : 7’th HEAVEN Edition

Beyond excited to collaborate with Folkekirken Vesterbro & Eliaskirken to invite you to a special one-off dance, exchange and HOUSE battle in the chambers of their magical church in central Vesterbro.

BATTLE YOUR DEMONS is a different battle format which is about overcoming the inner obstacles that sometimes prevents one from being one’s best.
Self doubt, insecurities, self monitoring etc. are your opponents as we search inside to unleash the power of vulnerability that is required to “Live True & Dance Free”.
The style is Housedance+, and you will be evaluated on your ability to 1) be emotionally present and honest 2) creatively exploit your housedance vocabulary 3) channel the music and take us on a journey.

PRESELECTION – 1 hour open dance floor 8.30-9.30 pm
(dancefloor open for ALL – participators in the battle will wear a bracelet so we know who’s wants to be considered)
7 people are selected & continue to Battle Their Demons in a solo 1-3 minutes.

WINNER PRIZE
– Heavenly USB/Playlist with music tailored by the All We Need crew
– Self-care package (Sjællandsgade baths giftcard, Palo Santo and more..)

ERIKO ‘LUA CHEIA’ (JPN / NYC)
Eriko “Lua Cheia’” Tsubosaka is a special fixture in the NYC club scene and one of Japan’s premiere house music DJs.

Thanks to her time working at Downtown 161/304, which was NYC’s prime house music distributor and record store in the days of dancing in most of the NY clubs, Lua has built an extensive record collection and formed relationships with some of the best DJs and producers in the industry, such as DJ Jus-Ed, Jennifa Mayanja, Mike Huckaby, Anthony Parasole, Todd Terry, Son of Sound, DJ Spider, Dakini9, Fred P, DJ Qu, Joey Anderson, EMAN, Tommy Bones, Nicodemus, DJ Sabine, Tony Touch, Rich Medina, and DJ Spinna.

With 15 years of dance training, Lua is an expert of authentic NYC house dance style and also brings that experience to the turntables. With extensive background in trumpet and piano — not to mention house music — her deep understanding and appreciation of music is apparent whenever she spins.
